And the audio does my head in again... So quiet I have to turn my TV literally up to twice what I normally have it at just to havce comfortable dialog audio. Then when adverts come on... LOUD!
I think I'll try 'an alternative source' for them rather than Sky.
Ah, Fox do have a tendency to do that. Strange, because I thought years ago that that was deemed not to be the done thing any more by Ofcom (i.e. cutting away to adverts and the volume being SO MUCH FUCKING LOUDER than the actual tv show). Evidently they don't give a toss. I recall it being a major problem a ways back, then it got better, but now it seems to be creeping in again - and there's absolutely no reason for slamming up the volume. Ooh, your poxy betting sponsor or whatever the fuck that I have ZERO interest in, wow, yeah, hammering my ears all of a sudden is really gonna convince me to splash some cash. Wankers.
Yep, after 'downloading' the episodes, I was watching them at a more normal 25ish volume. Earlier today I was at a record break 70+ trying to hear the Sky broadcasted version...
EDIT: And it seems I'm not alone - https://helpforum.sky.com/t5/Archive...n/td-p/3100717
I don't think we've ever really had an issue with very low volume (e.g. when I watch Talking Dead on Fox it's fine volume wise) - however, when we initially got Sky Q we had a different problem in relation to the mini-box: audio becoming out-of-synch with the video. That went on for a few months (temporarily solved by turning the mini box off and on again, sometimes at the plug), but then they must have patched that issue and it's not been a problem for a long time.
