(Last updated 31-Aug-1998, Email me) These pages are dedicated to the three horror films comprising the George Romero Dead trilogy, Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead and Day of the Dead. They are not designed to be a comprehensive review of the films, but instead a more personal opinion. Most of the information has come from articles, reviews and documentaries I have seen and collected over the years. The films follow the plight of the world when, for some unknown reason, the dead begin to rise. The undead are driven by one instinct, to eat the flesh of the living. The site is designed to be viewed in at least 800*600 16bit colour and is compatible with Netscape 3+ and Explore 3+.
A few months after the phenomenon starts, society has already collapsed. If the situation had been dealt with in its early stages, when the number of dead were few, the disaster may have been averted. However, now vast numbers of the human race have died at the hands of the living dead only to rise and swell their numbers...but small groups of survivors do exist. During daylight, and in few numbers, the zombies would be of little worry. However, at night or in larger numbers they pose a greater threat. Cities would be deadly. Vast armies of the undead would prove far too dangerous. However, with supplies running low survivors would have to venture into built up areas. What would you do ? Where would you go ? Imagine being baracaded in your home with the undead outside... Worse still imagine being caught in the open at night. Pitch black, not able to even see your hand in front of your face, but you can hear shuffling sounds nearby...
